The course only takes about an hour and can be combined with practice tests to help you determine if youre ready for the DMV test. This practice Hawaii DMV written test can help you study so you can answer every question correctly. The online driver prep course is a video-based course created to help you prepare for your state DMVs written test. Once you’ve passed your test and received a learner’s permit, you’ll need to hold it for 180 days before you may take a driving test for your license. To receive your license, you’ll need to be able to provide your birth certificate, your social security number, and parental consent if you’re a minor, from both of your parents or the applicable forms to explain why one or both are no longer your guardian(s). In addition to passing the written knowledge exam, you’ll need to take an eye exam, pay a $2 fee for the written test and $5-10 for the permit depending on your location, as well as to provide the needed paperwork. To get your permit, you’ll need to answer at least 25 of the 30 questions correctly. Today I went back in and zipped right in to their testing room and failed it. I quickly realized many of the questions on the test werent even discussed during the MSF course, but I dont blame them. ![]() Not miserably, missed 6 of the 25 questions. ![]() The test consists of 30 multiple-choice questions based on information pulled from the 2023 Hawaii Drivers Manual. I passed the MSF a month ago and went in last week to the DMV to take the written test and failed it. Hawaii issues instruction permits to potential drivers who are at least 15 ½ years old and have passed a written knowledge test. ![]()
